Arzu Geybullayeva is a regional analyst and freelance journalist. She is also currently at The Foreign Policy Research Institue on Democratic Transitions as an associate scholar providing analysis on the situation in Azerbaijan. She has worked for a number of organizations- European Stability Initiative (Istanbul-Baku), National Democratic Institute (Baku), and is currently with the Imagine Center for Conflict Transformation. Arzu writes for the Italian online publication Osservatorio Balcani e Caucaso (Italy), Global Voices Online (global), AGOS (Istanbul), Meydan TV, Al Jazeera English and other platforms. She has over 4 years of experience as a freelance correspondent writing mainly on the human rights, freedom of speech issues in Azerbaijan and elsewhere. She is currently based in Istanbul, Turkey.
