The Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina was founded on 11 February, 1995. It is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organization. Since 1999 it has covered the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. BiH provides free legal aid to refugees, mostly in the form of recommendations, counselling, and performing before the courts and administration. They also (in some cases) represent clients in the court.
