Johanna Seidl coordinates IRRI’s citizenship and statelessness work in East Africa and is responsible for IRRI’s resource mobilization. She started working with refugees and asylum seekers in 2012 and holds a M.Sc. International Relations and Development – Global Refugee Studies. Prior to joining IRRI, Johanna worked as Regional Advocacy and Communication Officer, supporting projects combatting gender-based violence, promoting women’s access to justice, and to curtail trafficking of women in the Horn of Africa. Additionally, she worked on strengthening civic actors in Sudan and as a consultant for resource mobilization for organisations in Sudan, Somalia and Uganda.
