The Canadian Association for Refugee and Forced Migration Studies is calling for submissions for its 10th annual conference, Forgotten Corridors: Global Displacement and Politics of Engagement. The Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives at the University of Victoria will host the conference 15-18 May 2017 in Victoria, BC. Submissions are due by 15 September. To submit a proposal for a paper, workshop or complete panel, please submit the following information using this online form.

The Oxford Monitor of Forced Migration (OxMo) is dedicated to protecting and advancing the human rights of refugees and forced migrants. The journal is now accepting contributions from students, early career researchers, practitioners, activists and individuals with experience of forced migration. See the full call for papers here, and consult the instructions for authors and style guidelines before submitting. Send an email for further information. The deadline is 15 September.

The Forced Migration Review is seeking submissions of articles on the subject of resettlement. The FMR editors are looking for articles reflecting a diverse range of opinions and perspectives focusing on resettlement of refugees. The deadline for submissions is 10 October. For submission guidelines and information on how to submit, see the FMR call for submissions.

Emory University School of Law seeks submissions for a workshop on Legal Migrations, Vulnerability, and Resilience, to be held 9-10 December in Atlanta, Georgia, US. Participation is welcome from scholars in multiple disciplines including law, the social sciences, and humanities. Papers should address the response to human and institutional vulnerability occasioned by processes of migration. Papers are invited to examine social experience as well as legal formalities, and those which engage vulnerability theory as a central tool of analysis are most warmly welcomed. Email a proposal of several paragraphs as a Word or PDF document to Rachel Ezrol by 16 September. Decisions will be made by 30 September and working paper drafts will be due by 23 November so they can be duplicated and distributed prior to the workshop.
