Launch of Liverpool network of academics in refugee studies field, 4 July
Published: 1 Jul 2016
Dear All,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the official launch of Liverpool ARK – Liverpool Asylum and Refugees Knowledge. This recently constituted network of academics at the University of Liverpool is characterised by its strong interdisciplinary character and pro-active engagement with external stakeholders, and has already held several events on refugee-related matters.
On Monday, 4 July 2016 from 17:00 to 19:00, we will hold our official launch at the University of Liverpool. We would be very happy to have you with us that evening, to celebrate our network and the vibrant refugee community of Liverpool and the Northwest. The launch event will include a theatre play – Asylum Monologues – by the human rights actors group Ice & Fire. Those of you familiar with the work of this group will know how powerful their art is. The play will be followed by a reception, with drinks and food.
Please read more about this event and register on the event webpage
Please feel free to circulate this invitation within your networks. We are looking forward to seeing you on 4 July!
Best wishes,
