Dr Kepa Artaraz is a Senior Lecturer in Social Policy at the School of Applied Social Science of the University of Brighton. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma of Higher Education in teaching and Learning, University of Chester a PhD(awarded with minor corrections) from the University of Wolverhampton in Sociology/History, an MPhil(Distinction) from the University of Glasgow in Latin American Development/Research Methods, a BA Hons (First class) from the University of Central Lancashire in Health Studies and Sociology and a Diploma of HE in Nursing, from the University of the Basque Country, Spain. Dr Artaraz has written extensively on Latin America, and on Bolivia more specifically. His latest book “Bolivia: Refounding the Nation” (2012) is an account of the rise of MAS in Bolivia.
