Nicolas is a Research Associate at the Centro de Investigación, Universidad del Pacífico, Lima, Peru. He has experience as a researcher and practitioner in the field of migration, where he has worked with organization’s such as the Observatory for Human Rights for Forced Migrants in Turkey (OHRFT), Association for Solidarity with Refugees (Mülteci-Der), and as part of Columbia University’s ‘Teachers for Teachers’ Initiative. He holds a Master of Science in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management from the University of Leicester, where he produced a ‘Distinction’ level thesis entitled “Syrian refugee inflow and risk perception in Izmir, Turkey: Understanding Turkish attitudes through the evaluation of cultural cognition”. His research on Middle Eastern and Latin American forced migration has been published in Current History, Migration Letters and the Journal of Identity and Migration Studies, amongst others.
